It's unbelievable how often I've almost clicked onto tumblr tonight on sheer autopilot. Since that's not gonna happen, I thought I'd set up a dreamwidth account instead, do something useful with my time.
...as I'm just young enough to never have had an LJ, I have no idea what I'm doing so far.

Yeah searching for content on here is a bit weird. I am not sure but I think the way tags might function on here is to tag your blog as a blog about [interest] and then when people search for that interest your blog comes up according to how recently you've made any post, regardless of whether it was also tagged with the interest. I'm still figuring it out as well.

Yes, that's the impression I've got as well. Which... does get you some content, I suppose, but it's not very convenient. I mean I just tagged my blog as all sorts of things that I /am/ interested in, but that doesn't mean I'll ever create much original content about many of them that'd actually be on my blog. From what I've seen, communities are your best bet to get something similar to a tumblr dashboard experience. But I'm open to see how this site develops, especially as I'm sure it will populate much more than it currently is in the upcoming months.
